As far as gripes, we have to admit that it’s hard to overlook the Kawasaki’s one glaring lack in its long list of features: cruise control. Kawasaki reps attribute this to the Concours 14’s more sporting intention than its competitors, but in a class where gobbling up miles is a prerequisite, we’d guess the real reason is that cruise control on a non-ride-by-wire throttle system requires a complicated and heavy mechanical setup that adds a lot of undesirable weight and cost.
